Service DepartmentThe Service Department is charged with: The administration, construction and maintenance of all public works. Including 48 miles of road, 16 miles of storm sewer, 5 miles of open ditches and 25 acres of parks, athletic fields and public lands. The department also maintains/repairs the police and service fleet vehicles and equipment.
  
The Service Departments new Cat 420E backhoe purchased from Ohio Cat in Painesville will earn its keep loading salt trucks in the winter and sewer, ditch, road and parks maintenance in the summer. The old backhoe has retired to a farm in Tenn. for a well deserved break.
