Mayor John M. Rogers
John Rogers has played an active role in city government since 1988; first as a member of the City of Mentor-on-the-Lake Planning & Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. In 1989 John was appointed to City Council and in 1991 was elected to a four year term as a Member of Council.
In December, 1994, John Rogers was appointed Mayor with the resignation of Mayor John Crocker. Since his appointment, Mayor Rogers was elected Mayor in 1996 and re-elected in 2000, 2004 and 2008. His current term runs through December, 2011.
Mayor Rogers lives on Pinehill Drive with his wife, Rose, they have four children; Timothy, John, Caitlin and Micheal. Mayor Rogers holds a B.A. from Hiram College, M.B.A. from John Carroll University and a Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University. |
