EmploymentFIREFIGHTERS (Part-time) City of Mentor-on-the-Lake
A Civil Service Examination for the position of Part-time Firefighter will be administered at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the Community Room at Mentor-on-the-Lake City Hall, 5860 Andrews Road.
Minimum qualifications for entrance to the examination:
1. United States citizen
2. High school graduate or equivalent (At least 18 years old)
3. In good physical condition
4. Applicant must be a Certified EMT/B Firefighter
5. Applicant must currently reside within three (3) mile radius of the Mentor-on-the-Lake Fire Department.
Applicants must pass the written examination with at least a seventy percent (70%) passing grade. Qualifying candidates will be required to appear for a job-related medical examination, physical agility test, psychological exam and interview.
Application forms and requirments are available at Mentor-on-the-Lake City Hall Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and must be completed and returned no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011.
EXAMINATION LIMITED TO THE FIRST 30 QUALIFIED APPLICATIONS RETURNED TO CLERK, CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION.
