City CodeLaws that govern the City of Mentor-on-the-Lake are known as ordinances and they are complied into the Mentor-on-the-Lake Codified Ordinance book. New laws and regulations that are passed each year are updated in January or February by American Legal Publishing Company.
To access the codified ordinances, go to www.amlegal.com , select the Online Library link on the main page, then type in Ohio and then select the Mentor-on-the-Lake link. You can review the City Charter, zoning regulations and traffic laws, just to name a few of the chapters of the codified ordinances. Also, this web site has a search feature that allows you to type in a word, such as "dog", and it will show you all of the sections of the codified ordinances where the word "dog" appears.
The web site is very user friendly and I'm sure you will be pleased with this new site. Please remember that any laws passed during the current year will not be updated (codified) until the beginning of the next year.
